So I have some shiny new stuff going on with my life. Nothing particularly life-altering, mind. Just... stuff.

Journal:
I has a new header~ ♥ Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke (picture is from the anime's closing credits) . . . (*⌒∇⌒*) She's starting to become my favorite shojo heroine of all times. Look how adorable she is~!  ♥

Also, I just realized my lack of icons. Never felt the need to have some other than my lovely dragonfly before since I mainly stalk people anyway, but . . . I started hunting down pictures I feel that can make good icons. ( ^o^ ) I'll have my own bunch of icons soon~

Same goes for my mood theme. ( ^.^; ) I've long graduated from being an exclusive Hyotei fangirl.

Fandom:
I began reading Katekyo Hitman Reborn three days ago . . . Finished yesterday morning, just in time for today's new chapter . . . Am currently watching the anime  . . . Began hunting some doujinshi . . .  And started to fanart Colonello (because he's one smexy military baby, hey) . . . (;∇;)  Yes, I'm hooked . . .

Gadgets:
WACOM TABLET. Oh yeah. ♥

And maybe this will lead to . . . a new deviantArt account? One where I can actually put some original art?  . . . Needs more pondering.

Personal:
I've cut my hair short.

Well. . . No, not yet, but tomorrow. But since I'm determined to get rid of my troublesome long hair, I've considered it done. Hopefully, with this new look, there'll be a new determination for me to start kicking my life back into shape. Yes, hair does something to do with that.

. . . Hm, I guess that's all for the good stuff. The others are same old, same old. Ah, and it's raining really hard here again. Heard there's another typhoon . . . Santi, I think? From what I heard, our place had been placed under Storm Signal No. 3 . . . That's a really bad thing, but luckily, news said it'll pass us pretty quickly. Thank God.

Typhoon Parma/Pepeng diverted its path, thank God. *relieved*

Me and my family are among the more fortunate ones who were spared from the damage Ketsana/Ondoy left. The flood water was almost at our doorstep, which was horrible news because our place is one of the highest in our village. That meant if the water reached us, the rest of the village are already chest-deep. >__> We had some relatives and their children taking refuge in our place since water already entered their homes and were already knee-high...

This last week, my family and I spent donating relief goods in our community center and my sisters' school and helping out with the packing. We don't really have much to give, financially and otherwise, and it was the only way we could help out our countrymen who had their lives, homes and properties ruined by flood water...

I was really nervous too last night, when Pepeng was 'scheduled' to reach the Philippine soil. While Ondoy brought heavy rainfall, Pepeng was expected to have strong winds enough to blow houses' roofs off. Thankfully, it missed NCR. But we're still offering prayers for our countrymen up North where Pepeng hit the hardest.

I haven't been able to do much here on DA lately, except poke in every once in a while, but seeing so many entries here, and posts from different people and from different countries and organizations calling out to help the Philippines is really touching and comforting, that we're not alone in this time of need.

~
suzaku18 already posted some links where you can help the Philippines out, but I'm going to snatch some links in the hopes someone who stumbled into this journal and decides to help will know where to go~

On LJ :
[link]
On DA : [link] , [link]

These entries contain links to where donations and various help could be given.

Again, my own (and the rest of the Filipino community's, I'm sure) heartfelt gratitude for all the help, thoughts and prayers.

Let us also give our prayers to our brothers in the Asia Pacific who also expreienced difficulties due to various natural causes, and has claimed more than 1,500 lives during the last week:

- for the people of Taiwan, where Typhoon Parma/Pepeng is heading
- the tsunami in the Samoan Islands last Tuesday
- the earthquake in Indonesia last Wednesday
- the Typhoon Ketsana across the Southeast Asia

May God be with everyone.

I know I have an art journal for this kind of thing, but since I haven't posted anything within the month and RL still sucks as hell, I figured why the hell not here?

 I'm on a drawing frenzy~!  o(>▽<)o

Heehee~ it's really fun being able to draw characters I haven't drawn before. And since most of the requested stuff are pairings, it's also a good way for me to practice various 'contact' poses. Thinking up stories behind each picture is also fun~! Amazing how prompts from others like that could make my creative juices flowing again, unlike when I'm on my own and I couldn't think up anything!

It's supposed to be just sketch, but I was feeling very artsy, so I went ahead and colored them~! With the death of my graphic tablet though, coloring became a lot tougher, especially when I was doing a sketch per day. My wrist hurts from using the mouse too much . . .  (;△;)

It should be fine in a day or two . . . then I can go back to my drawing again~! Yay! ♥

Lots more to do~ and there are even some slots left~! This is the kind of busy I like . . .  ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ::・'゚☆。.::・'゚★。.::・'゚☆。

Waking up in a cold, rainy morning with a steaming hot champorado and pan de sal for breakfast is the best~! ヽ(*゚ー゚*)ノ

But waking up in a cold, rainy morning with a steaming hot champorado and pan de sal for breakfast THEN discovering your sisters hanging around because their classes were suspended is bad. Σ(゜ロ゜;)!!

AND THEN having your brother call and say he'll be home for the weekend is THE worst. (_ _|||) . . .

That means this'll probably be my last post for this whole weekend. Becuase I doubt if I'll still be up by the time my brother gets done playing his MMORPG, Cabal. And that means he's going to be pissed at me for not playing it for him. UGH.

=======
I watched HP: Half-Blood Prince yesterday~! And I still couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it! Σ(・ω・ノ)ノ! It was surprisingly good, versus the previous one, the Order of the Phoenix, and even its book version. I went, expecting the story get even more darker and more grimmer as it did in the books . . . And whoa. Laugh trip~! That was the last thing I expected. (*^__^*)

And I'm pathetic, but I actually got teary-eyed when Dumbledore died! (._.;)

But man, Tom Felton and Helena Bonham Carter made this movie seriously rock.

Oh and I love the Weasley twins. ♥

=======
I just realized, going off to watch a movie while there's a storm is not a good idea. Especially when you try to get home and you're faced with knee-deep flood-water. Which continues to rise even now, what with non-stop rain all night.

And flood, especially in the Philippines, is never a good thing.

Federer vs Soderling in the Finals... And Federer won his first French Open title.

Tennis: more than just pretty boys running after a tiny ball, aka Roland Garros (fangirling) rant )

=======

Afasdsapfk~! Dan's absolutely adorable in ch 6 of Shin Tenipuri! ♥ (Yep, ignoring everything else..... cause it depresses me to see Niou go... and dreading for Hiyoshi, Sengoku and even Akutsu...)

=======

I need to have a purpose. So I'm going to give being an educator a shot. It's going to take lots of guts, hard work and patience...

Damn. I'm so going to fail..... (_ _|||)
